join me in my home studio in capel st.mary,suffolk (postcode IP9) for a 2-hour tailored, private session to learn the basics of working with clay! perfect for those who want to try their hand at the potters wheel, to learn the foundations of throwing, or just spend some quality time being creative together.
you can book a single session for as one-off potters wheel taster session, or multiple sessions to cover more parts of the making process (such as attaching handles and glazing) - with discounts for booking multiple sessions in advance!

the one-off/first session will include:

a short tour of my studio.

an overview of the process of making a ceramic from start to finish.

a hands-on introduction to preparing clay for throwing on the wheel.

a demonstration of throwing a cylinder on the potters wheel.

shared time at the wheel, practicing basic skills of throwing.

choosing glaze colours for your pots, which will be applied & fired after the session. your finished pieces will be ready to collect within 3-4 weeks.

the price of sessions includes all materials & firing of up to 2 pieces each.
- this session is suitable for those aged 14+ - participants under 18 years old must attend with someone 18+. if you'd like to attend with someone under 14 years old, check out my pottery taster class listing here!

if you book multiple classes:
- you will book your first session before paying.
- once you have paid, you will receive an email inviting you to book your additional sessions. please ensure you leave at least 7 days between sessions 1 and 2, and at least 14 days between sessions 2 & 3.
