fancy trying your hand at pottery, but not sure where to start?
join me in my home studioĀ in colchester, essex for a 2-hour tailored, private session to learn the basics of working with clay! perfect for those who want to try their hand at the potters wheel & have a go at a handbuilding technique (pinch pottery).
you can book a single session for as one-off taster session, or multiple sessions to cover more parts of the making process (such as attaching handles and glazing) - with discounts for booking multiple sessions in advance!

'what a lovely session. myself and my daughter went and had a 1-2-1 session with lizzie, we made pinch pots and tried throwing. Lizzie was such a good teacher. super hands on and helpful. as a visual learner this was so helpful. we canāt wait to pick our pots up and try some more pottery. lizzies studio is super cute, and we felt at home and relaxed straight away. we canāt wait to come back.

the one-off/first session will include:

a short tour of my studio.

an overview of the process of making a ceramic from start to finish.

a hands-on introduction to throwing on the wheel (1 hour)
- making & decorating a pinch pot (45 minutes)

choosing glaze colours for your pots, which will be applied & fired after the session. your finished pieces will be ready to collect within 3-4 weeks.

the price of sessions includes all materials & firing of up to 2 pieces each.

these workshops are suitable for 6+ years. participants under 18 years old must attend with someone 18+.
