a handthrown two-piece butter keeper, made with a sandy stoneware clay. this piece has been decorated with a dappled dark blue glaze, apart from the inside of the butter bell which has been covered with a satin-effect speckled dark blue glaze. on the outside, there is wax-resist text that reads.. well.. 'butter' - of course!
simply add a little water to the bottom of the pot & fill the top with your butter. the water creates a seal to keep that butter fresh.
