a chance for young people to get creative with clay during the school holidays, learn a new skill & make something they can cherish for years to come!
with three sessions throughout the day, split into age groups. participants will create their piece & choose a colour for it to be glazed. all pieces made will be fired in lizzie's kiln & available to collect within 3 weeks of the session date - a durable, useable piece they can keep forever!
please note: venue accessibility
a ramp is available to access the workshop space - but unfortunately the toilet is not wheelchair accessible (both the door & room are not wide enough for a wheelchair to manoeuvre).

session times, age guidance & further details:
10 - 11am: pinch pots: 4 - 7 years
an introduction to clay! we'll transform a ball of clay into a basic pot shape, then bring it to life with imaginative decoration using a range of tools.
12 - 1.30pm: forest & fairy houses: 8 - 11 years
we’ll be creating & decorating enchanting clay houses using natural & machine-made tools & texture.
2.30 - 4pm: ceramic houses: 12 - 16 years
a session designed for secondary school aged children - we'll be making & decorating clay houses using slabs, adding texture & 3D sculpture.
